mms 1.1.0 rc3 released

Postby arj » Thu Feb 07, 2008 12:55 am

Hi

rc2 had a bad bug that caused MMS not to work for users with old or without any databases. rc3 is out now to fix that.

I'm pleased to announce rc2 of 1.1.0.

A quick sum up of what happened since rc1:

New weather plugin, vsync option added to opengl output plugin, random slideshow functionality in pictures, improved lyrics support and lots of bugs fixed.

Lirc search is still known to be broken. I'll fix that up very soon but I simply havn't had time yet and we should do more releases, almost 2 months since last release is way to long when you're in doing release candidates.

rc1 was revno 1279 and rc2 is 1404. Meaning 125 changes in ~ 46 days which equates to about 2.71 changes every single day, I'm very pleased to see the amount of external contributions for this release, the new weather plugin from acmelabs, lots of fixes and help from lorenzodes and updated lyrics support from castorinop. Fredde has been busy with the python plugin and Uatschitchun managed to even contribute a bug fix besides reporting a ton of bugs and updating the debian packages. Sadly I have probably forgotten a lot of people, especially all the people asking questions, reporting bugs, spreading the word. But I just wanted to give a big thanks to all the people who has helped out one way or another!

PS: We need someone to update http://wiki.mymediasystem.org/wiki/inde ... new_in_110 :-)
