Ah ok ...

We had changes to defaults in config and evdev was somewhat neglected until the last days before releasing 1.0.8.2 ...

The Makefile patches your config from

Code: Select all

input = keyboard

to

Code: Select all

input = evdev

if you use --enable-evdev

The patch that is called is located in upstream/cfg/patch-evdev.

So this is what the patch looks like:

Code: Select all

--- cfg/config-dxr3-keyboard    2006-07-06 17:07:25.000000000 +0200
+++ cfg/config-dxr3-evdev       2006-07-06 17:06:25.000000000 +0200
@@ -103,7 +103,7 @@
 # Input device
 #
 # choose between "keyboard", "evdev" and "lirc"
-input = keyboard
+input = evdev

 # Layout of remote control (LIRC only)
 #

And this is what it should look alike:

Code: Select all

--- cfg/config-dxr3     2007-03-08 23:51:45.000000000 +0100

Thanks. Fixed in revno 1100. Note to self, always delete /etc/mms before testing make install :wink:

None of the debs is build with evdev support ... so this error does not appear there, too ... allthough 'always' clean /etc/mms ;)
