Zenslack is a small, free distribution for a rather popular type of set-top-box available here in germany and other parts of europe. It is a self-contained image featuring mms as it's frontend application and vdr as a background service. As of now it does not feature any games, and it might still be a challenge to get games to run with the remote controll, but I'd like to have your ok to go ahead with it before I start off.

Your Idea is use the remote control as joystick ?

Pablito
PS: do you have the URL of Zenslack?

I believe that xmame supports lirc, For the other emulators you are going to have to generate an interface between lirc and the emulator.
Can be through an external commando, in this case with lircexec and xmacroplay-keys
for example: this send "Escape" with the key stop.

Code: Select all

begin
 prog = irexec
 button = stop
 config = xmacroplay-keys :0 Escape 2 > /dev/null
end

but… it is to modify the code of the emulator so that it has supported lirc

Thank You Pablito for your great work and support. I've tested the Game-Plugin and liked it very much.
But I know, that giga_san is able to solve the lirc-problem on his own. That's not the problem. He wants to know, if he can use your code in his zenslack distribution.

Can he use your code: yes/no ? :-)

Thanks again!

Regards,

Andreas

#!/bin/bash
/usr/games/epsxe --nogui --loadiso /path/game.iso

For pcsx i don't try... but it must be similar
