[solved]Can mms:// be supported?

Postby AndyWxy » Sat Mar 22, 2008 2:17 am

Through MMS we can now set the radio address we wanna listen to and get more radio streams by downloading. But can protocol such as mms:// be supported then we can watch these internet stream from MMS? :D

Mplayer can simply play a mms protocol very easily by (Research Channel for example, this is my favourite channel :P) :

Code: Select all

mplayer -cache 8192 "mms://media-wm.cac.washington.edu/ResearchTV Live (LAN)"

So I think this feature is not too difficult to realize, right? :P

Just create a file with an .pls extension and place

Code: Select all

mms://media-wm.cac.washington.edu/ResearchTV Live (LAN)

into this file. And put this file into your Movies folder. Works fine for me here :)

Andreas

We should add this info into our wiki? Interested in doing it?
