using mplayer for playing internetradio?

Postby michscher » Sun Dec 09, 2007 3:33 pm

Hallo !

I´ve installed mms on my Duron1200 and it works great. Im using Debian/Etch and the mms I have installed with apt-get without compiling (1.085).
But now I had a problem with the internetradio. I want to hear radiostations that uses mms and rtsp. Alsaplayer didn´t support this and i see in the config that i can use mplayer instead of alsaplayer for radio.
Is that config only for TV/Radio-Cards or does it mean internetradio too?
Is there any way to have mms- and rtsp-support without compile the system new with xine-audio?

Greetings

You need to recompile, or use the debian packages that uses gstreamer. I think it's mms-slim.

This thread should tell you more about the players:
