Bug database needs attention

Postby lorenzodes » Mon Feb 23, 2009 12:45 pm

Since 1.1.0 final is approaching, we've been skimming thorugh the various bug reports in the bug database. Some of them have been fixed, while others might have been fixed but require confirmation by the people who reported them in the first place.

It would be great if the people who reported bugs days or even weeks ago and haven't provided feedback since then about the proposed solutions (or never posted the details needed for developers to reproduce the said bugs or locate their causes), took some time go through their reports and complete them. This is necessary for us to be able to release a final version of mms as bug free as possible.

There are also some bug reports that do contain all the pertinent and relevant information, but we can't fix because we can't reproduce the reported bug, mostly due to different hardware involved. It would be great if other mms users, with the right hardware set-up could test if they can reproduce them.

Some reports that require attention are listed below:
* inotify and movie plugin, take long time at remove/create file/dir
* Mms crashes with gstreamer
* OpenGL's resolution settings do not work correct with ATI GPU
* libtool fails compiling rc9 openSUSE 11.1 x86_64
* gstreamer lost device configuration after play movie

Obviously we've always welcomed any report of new bugs, but especially now we need them. So, if there's any issue, even minor, that you have found, please report it.

Thanks everybody :)
