Uh ... ?!

Devel in the dark

1st post, announcement, version 0.2.1 ... I'm impressed! Downloaded and tested:

* Very nice is the structure you used (main.py, config.py and .ini)! Like it very much!

* I thought, what is this info button for and how do I activate it?! After I pressed "o" on keyboard, I knew ;)

* Sad is, I get a segfault:

Code: Select all

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Changing the movie-player doesn't change anything here?!
I'm on latest revno.

* The button's color is different and changes without seeing a reason (on genre this is the last entry, on stations this changes randomly):

* I tried some stations on console with mplayer and they do work, so there's no reason they shouldn't work from within MMS?!

So far from my side ... nice coming-in, thx :P

P.S. Pls add an account to our wiki, so I could add you to editors, for to update this page:

Yeah, really nice work LivingOn :D

I tried it out and I agree with Uatschitchun concerning the structure, really good.

Didn't get the segfault, but I recently updated the code that the backtrace points to.

Retried with latest revno and:
Works! :P

LivingOn, I read your comments by PM ... and understood ;)

One thing left:
Could you respect the bottom space for playing title and notfication-area?

ChangeLog:

Code: Select all

   - changed behavior of listbox-selection (random color)
   - keep last 75 Pixel for notfication-area
   - changed lib/Config.py to lib/config.py (contain no class)

Very nice :P

Thx!

Fredde, if you're reading this,
shouldn't the pyglets work like "normal" movie-player if music is playing? If playlist is playing audio and one starts a movie, audio is suspended as long as movie is playing. After movie ends, the music continues playing. This is _not_ the case with pyglets?! Tried with youtube & webtv ... if music is playing and one starts a movie, music is stopped and not continued after movie ends ... ?!

You got my attention :D

Never thought about this one, just tested and I can confirm this behaviour. Will look at the python video playing code and try to fix it, thx.

Hi,
I have a netinstall-debian with Mikkas script and mmsv2-1.1.0-rc9 from Roman. When I try WebTV nothing happens.
In console I dont find anything usefull errors reportet.

Either don't work:
services-0.4
youtube-0.2.1 (starts playing, but only for a second)
mit Hellseherschein ;.)

Strange, I retried on a virtual Intrepid-Installation with mms-plugin-python & mms-addon-python-pyglets and it works ootb here?!

services-0.4

Yes, known to be not working! See:
http://forum.mymediasystem.org/viewtopic.php?p=12935#p12935

youtube-0.2.1 (starts playing, but only for a second)

I guess it's debian ETCH?
You need to install newer mplayer! There's a package available from Mikka's server
