Remotecontroll layout ...

Postby naicheben » Tue Feb 06, 2007 10:52 am

uhhhh, looks like I live inside this forum ...

since you changed the layout for mobile (remote controll) I'm not happy with it anymore. I'd like to fall back to the old layout, but I can't find out where to change it. Can you give me a hint?

Doesn't this setting in config helps?

# Layout of remote control (LIRC only)
#
# choose between "mobile" and "full_layout"
#
remote_layout = full_layout

In addition to Romans information here's the new Search-Layout:

and here's the old one (prior to 1.0.8.1):

This information lives in the wiki already quite a while :-)

Thanks for your replies, but unfortunately it is not up to my needs.

The letter "p" is gone from key7 to key6 and following letters too. So it does not fir to my remote on the Zenega/S100 anymore!

I've been searching through the code but can't find the way it works.
Anders, can you explain were and how it works? After reading so much code I want to know the whole truth

Oh, I see. It's a pitty, especially because these two different layouts have been implemented by Anders in order to be able to use it on a Zenega-Box.
This extra-"Space"-char corrupts the whole plan of course :-|
I wonder why nobody complains about that until today (except you). Strange - Is anybody using MMS at all? ;-)

Andreas

Good you mentioned Space! The Space should be on key0.

Ahh! While I'm complaining  I may not forget to say: I can't just go left without deleting. Is this the way it should be or am I missing something?

Ahh good find. Appears the addition of _ fucked this up.

For deleting use:

search,erase,LEFT

in the input config.

I don't want to delete the whole string just because I want to delete the first word. Can I take another key from my remote to do the delete and juse LEFT to actually go left, or isn't it possible to go left in the search-box???

Ehhhhh, did you only apply the changes to 1.0.9? Or was it because modules.xpp was rewritten in 1.0.9?

No :D

I know it's a bit simple but I havn't had the big problems with it yet. It would be nice to be able to go left and right.
