error on compile shutdown.hpp:26: error: syntax error before

Postby naicheben » Thu Feb 01, 2007 12:23 am

I get this error on compiling mmsv2 1.0.9:
g++ -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/include/ -I. -Ilibs/commoncpp2/include/ -pthread -pipe -O3 -march=athlon -ffast-math -funroll-loops -fomit-frame-pointer -ftracer -D_GNU_SOURCE -fno-exceptions `xine-config --cflags` -Ilibs/tinyxml/ `sdl-config --cflags` -c startmenu.cpp
In file included from startmenu.cpp:17:
shutdown.hpp:26: error: syntax error before `)' token
make: *** [startmenu.o] Error 1

my ./configures are:
./configure --enable-lirc --prefix=/test109 --disable-fancy-audio --disable-xidle --disable-fancy-movie --disable-epg --enable-eject-tray

By the way: happy new year :lol:

I think this error comes from a missing include of string.

Try to add:

Code: Select all

#include <string>

using std::string;

in shutdown.hpp just below

Code: Select all

#include "module.hpp"

You are right, now it compiles. Thank you very much!
