LIRC with Nexus-S rev2.X

Postby gandalf » Thu Jul 12, 2007 11:40 am

I want to use the IR receiver on my Nexus (registered as /dev/input/event3) with lirc, in order to get MMS to work.

The next step would then be integrate my working VDR installation as TV app, but... one step at a time!

I am loading the lirc_i2c module, which is supposed to be working with the Nexus cards, but it does not create a /dev/lirc/[n] device, so lircd can obviously not use it.

Any ideas what I can have forgotten.

My /etc/lirc/hardware.conf

Code: Select all

# /etc/lirc/hardware.conf
# Arguments which will be used when launching lircd

#Don't start lircmd even if there seems to be a good config file

#Try to load appropriate kernel modules

# Run "lircd --driver=help" for a list of supported drivers.
# If DEVICE is set to /dev/lirc and devfs is in use /dev/lirc/0 will be
# automatically used instead

# Default configuration files for your hardware if any

My /etc/lirc/lircd.conf

Code: Select all

# this config file was automatically generated
