Home Directory

Postby mrbabinga » Sun Jan 20, 2008 7:19 pm

I cannot navigate to my home directory. Only my USB drive and second hard drive are available. Bug? If not, what is the key stroke to access the Home directory?

Thanks.

You need to add the dir you want to navigate (like home dir) to your configuration file. The default directory is /media.

I added the line and it worked, but now there is not access to the other drives I tried two lines and tried appending i.e
movie_dir = /home/william/; /media/

Didn't work. I'm still fairly new to Linux so probably just don't understand the syntax.

Appreciate your help. Program works fine, just this one problem and I'm sure it's me not the program.

Try

Code: Select all

movie_dir = /home/william
movie_dir = /media
movie_dir = /whateveryoulike
movie_dir = /but/only/one/in/a/line

Andreas

I had already tried that and it only read the first line. I made my root directory default and now I can access all of it.

Thanks.

Don't know if it's still like this, but a slash "/" at the end may help
