The config files are installed according to the plugins, add-ons that needs them ;)

mms => /etc/mms/Config
mms-plugin-movie => /etc/mms/MovieConfig
...
and so on

Right now (will change!) MMS (installed with just: apt-get install mms) is getting installed without a single plugin, so you need to install plugins, too (see list in first post ;)

but just with instaling via apt-get install mms

the file /etc/mms/Config should exist at least.

But it's not there :(

Does the dir
/etc/mms exists?

If not, pls create it and reinstall ...

If it doesn't exist, it's a bug in the packages!

BEWARE: 1.1.0 is only available for Sid & Gutsy atm!

still the same problem.

Postby [wEm] » Sat Dec 22, 2007 5:53 pm

Hi again,

sorry, but I have still the same problem.
i can't find any config files neither in home/xxx/.mms nor in /etc/mms

even if i create those folders before installing mms

when installing plugins, the plugin files can be founf in var/lib/mms
but still no Config, AudioConfig, etc...

Thanks
Sascha

I'm using DVB output (with libavcodec1d
0cvs20070307-6)

when i download the package rc4
i have the error

Detecting specified output device
Specified device found: dvb
MPEG: Impossible de trouver la codec mpeg2

when i compile with the options :
./configure --enable-gst-audio --enable-picture-epg --enable-game --enable-lirc --enable-mpeg --disable-x11-sdl
i have the error

Detecting specified output device
Specified device found: dvb
MPEG: Impossible de trouver la codec mpeg2

when i compile with the options :
./configure --enable-gst-audio --enable-picture-epg --enable-game --enable-lirc --enable-mpeg --use-internal-ffmpeg --disable-x11-sdl

It's ok

How to do to play mp3 with dvb output (mplayer, alsaplayer, xine, gstreamer) ?

You need libavcodec.
