Re: X windows Touch screen as input device

I just installed 1.1.2~pre2 from ubuntu launchpad archives but was a little disappointed there's still no full mouse-only playlist management.
I know I should not complain about free software, so I don't. It's just that MMS comes so close to what I need, but just not there because of this :(

Re: Make MMS keyboard independant

If there is a secundairy menu (is that right mouse click, because that doesn't seem to do anything in the playlist screen at the moment?) maybe there is a way to map long-touch to secundairy click in the touchscreen settings in xorg (evtouch)?

Make MMS keyboard independant

It would be nice to be able to manipulate the playlist (inc. delete) only with touchscreen.
Ideas: Long-click option on playlist-item, delete button before playlist-item or delete when clicked on playlist-item length?

Re: X windows Touch screen as input device

MMS has come a long way since the last time I checked (I still looking for a nice touchscreen compatible media player). I checked out the last 1.1.0rc9 and tried to use the interface with mouse alone (as a test) which works like a charm except for removing or clearing the playlist. Are you planning ...

My vision would be a complete stand-alone touchscreen-only media player in my work room... I admit volume is not the most important feature, but a complete keyboardless solution would be my 'dream' :)

It's wonderfull! Finally I have a destination for my 4 year old dust collecting touchscreen!

Even if mouse support is preliminary, bzr revision 1802(?) is quite usable. Besides searching, any ideas about volume control?

Martin

I managed to compile MMS, which was not better at playing the asf/wmav2 stream. Tried Gstreamer audio first but that's horrible for mp3's (gstreamer-plugin-ugly says enough I think). Then successfully compiled for Xine playback, which does everything it did before, but still not the asf/wmav2 stream...

wmav2 stream decoding

Hi, I recently discovered MMS and am quite charmed by the simplicity and usability of it's interface and functions! There is however one little thing left to find out: one of my favorite radio streams is proprietary format encoded (asf/wmav2) and will not play under mms. mplayer plays it well with t...
